Proclamation Made by City of Oak Ridge

Because May is national Mental Health Awareness Month, the city of Oak Ridge recently made a proclamation to that effect which was instituted by the Oak Ridge/Anderson County NAMI Affiliate. (National Alliance on Mental Illness).

Present to receive the proclamation were Toni Stephenson, Co-chair of the affiliate and Renata Hass, member of the Steering Committee.

NAMI envisions a world where all people affected by mental illness live healthy, fulfilling lives supported by a community that cares. We do this by providing advocacy, education and support to individuals with the illness and their loved ones.

Shown here is City Council Woman, Ellen Smith presenting the document to Toni and Renata.
